M1736 DOUBLE ANTIQUE GEORGE V CERAMIC SINKS C.1931

SOLD

Code: M1736

Dimensions:

W: 135cm (53.1")

A pair of reclaimed, antique, ceramic sinks. The double sink set dates to 1931, inscribed on one sink, and have GRV (George V) painted on each sink in blue. The sinks have a ceramic bar in the centre that they fit into and one one either side. The sinks have a flat outer base edge and are suitable for mounting into a surface or sink base. The sinks each have two taps with a ceramic disk at the top, although the hot and cold signs have now faded. The sinks are in solid cosmetic condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. There are some scratches and marks from use. The end bar of the left hand sink has a notch cut out at the top. There are some marks left from silicone and adhesive. The sinks do have some stains and limescale that may be improved with further cleaning. The taps and metal around the plug hole have tarnish and residue paint. The bases have some stains and small chips. Purchaser will need to provide the appropriate pipework for the sinks. Please see pictures for condition details. The sinks have a very nice period look and are of a very good quality. The sinks are ideal for a Jack and Jill bathroom or for a business and are desirable and stylish items for a bathroom.

PLEASE NOTE: The sinks are VERY HEAVY and are strictly COLLECTION ONLY. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle for collection. Please contact us if you need advice about collecting the sinks.
