A very pretty, petite, reclaimed Art Nouveau bedroom combination fire, likely to date to C.1900-1910. The fire has a pretty design, typical of the Art Nouveau era, with flowers along the crossbar. There is scrolling detail on the sides of the crossbar and down the legs. The smoke hood has a large medallion or oval. There are two holes, one on either side of the crossbar for fixings, and two fixing lugs at the back of the mantel that are designed to sink into the wall. The fire has a top plate and decorative front bars. The fire has been painted cream but there is staining and chipping to the paint. Purchaser may wish to have the fire stripped by a professional and re-finished to suit. The fire is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and use, as expected. The lugs at the back of the mantel are filled with concrete or filler left from when they were previously fitted into the wall. The top plate has some slight damage to the base edge, leaving some gaps between it and the back of the fire. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is a very pretty item for a bedroom and would look very nice in a period home, adding character and charm to a fireplace.
