CS0111 A PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE SHUTTERS (4 LEAVES)

Dimensions:

A pair of reclaimed Victorian painted pine shutters. The shutters comprise of 4 leaves, 2 on each side with one thinner and one slightly wider leaf, that are hinged so one folds back behind the other when opened. Each leaf has three recessed panels, with mouldings around them on the front face. The shutters have a rebated edge where the inner edges meet, to allow them to sit nicely together. 

The shutters have been painted white but there are stains, scratches, marks, flaking and chips and purchaser may wish to sand and repaint the shutters to suit. The shutters are solid and useable with some signs of use, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some knocks and chips to the pine, especially to the corners and edges. One top edge has tapered slightly where it has had a small break (picture 10). There are some small splits and cracks in the pine. The hinges have surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a very nice period appearance and are of a nice size, ideal for a home project.
