A pair of elegant, reclaimed, painted pine Cardiff French doors, likely to date to the late Victorian period. The doors have a pretty and traditional design with recessed panels with decorative beading surrounding them. The doors have elegant gunstock stiles and a rebated inner edge so they sit nicely together when closed. Each door has 8 panels, glazed with clear glass, with the traditional red glass in each outer corner. Please note, the larger glazed panels will not meet current safety standards and the glass MUST be changed or a safety film applied before use. We can re-glaze the door or have safety film applied to the glass for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The internal face of the doors have bolts remaining.

The doors are antique and have some signs of age and some damage commensurate with age. The front face of the doors have a rough appearance with raised and indented areas and they will need sanding, preparing and re-painting to suit. The paint is flaking and bubbling, especially around the panels edges. Some of the window putty is missing. The base of the doors have some damage and unevenness. The top of the doors have some knocks and some small holes from hardware removal. The hinges have surface rust and will need changing. The glass has some paint residue around the edges. The paint has flaking, chips and stains. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very pretty appearance and once sanded and repainted they would make a fantastic addition to a period property.
