A set of very pretty, reclaimed, Victorian fire tiles. The set comprises of 10 tiles that were designed to sit with 5 on either side of a cast iron fire. The tiles form a pretty picture when put in a row of 5, depicting lovely flowers and leaves and grass and daisies at the bottom. The back of the tiles have a registered design number, RD106517, dating them to 1888. The tiles could be fitted into a fire again or could be used for other interior design projects. The tiles are in useable condition with some light damage and signs of age, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The tile enamel has crazing and there are some knocks and chips, mainly to the edges and corners. The sides of the tiles have some marks from where they were previously fitted into a fire. The back of the tiles have smoke stains. Please see pictures for condition details. The tiles have a very nice period design and would be perfect for adding character to a cast iron tiled fire or to add character and charm to a home.
