M1835 A RECLAIMED METAL ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE OPENING WINDOW

A fantastic, reclaimed, metal opening window, in the Arts and Crafts, Lutyens style. The heavy metal window has a lovely stay bar with scrolling end. The window catch has a handle that allows you to turn it to keep the window closed and there is double scrolling detail underneath. The window has been glazed with clear glass and there are metal bars with thin ties. The window has two hinges that are in working order and the window opens freely. The window is in reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age. The sides of the window have rough edges and there is some surface rust. The window opens but it is quite difficult to shut. Some silicone or glue will need to be removed from the inner edges and you will need to carry out some work to allow it to shut more easily. The paint has some chipping and flaking. Please see pictures for condition details. The window has a great period look, ideally suited to an Arts and Crafts house or a cottage and would make a lovely characterful item for the home.
