A decorative, reclaimed, Victorian bedroom combination fire. The fire is well made with a lovely design with an ornate domed smoke hood and there is a pretty flower design along the crossbar and flowers that run down the legs. There is a border that surrounds the fire opening and there is a pretty design above the fire brick. The mantel has stepped detailing. The fire retains its original front bars, grill and fire brick. The fire has two fixing lugs, one on either side, under the mantel for fixings to attach the fire to the wall. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish. The fire is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some repaired damage, as expected of antique items. The smoke flap has been bolted together as it was broken. The repair is very solid but please note that the bolts and crack can be seen. The mantel has had some filled screw holes near where the mantel screws sit. The fire has some casting marks and pitting, especially to the mantel and front bars. The fire brick has some wear. The back has surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is a very nice example of Victorian design and it would add great period character to a fireplace.
